B2B and B2C e-commerce for electrical and plumbing/HVAC supplies on Open2B, in four languages (IT/EN/ES/FR), turning over around €20,000 a day. I built the store theme from scratch and looked after its development and maintenance for almost two years.
What I did
- New theme built from scratch on Open2B/Scriggo: home, product lists and pages, cart, customer area; mobile-first, dark mode, dynamic filters.
- Three-step checkout and a one-page version, with conditional rules between payment and shipping methods: free-shipping threshold, non-EU countries, private and business invoicing; postcode autocomplete across 8,000 municipalities.
- 15+ PHP applications on the Open2B API: product feeds for Trovaprezzi and Kelkoo (Italy and France), automatic assignment of 50,000 customers to tax groups, cron-based receipt archiving, duplicate supplier-code check across 25,000 products, export of 60,000 orders, product descriptions generated with the OpenAI API.
- 20+ REST and webhook integrations: Brevo (58,000 contacts and 23,550 products in sync, real-time webhooks), Feedaty with Schema.org rich snippets, Doofinder, DocFinance, Facebook Graph API, sign-in with Google Identity Services.
- Tracking via Google Tag Manager: GA4 e-commerce, Meta Pixel, Microsoft UET with enhanced conversions, Clarity; Cookiebot and Consent Mode v2 for GDPR compliance.
- VAT number validation (Cerved and VIES) across 28 EU countries.
- Performance and accessibility: LCP from 12 to 4 seconds, TBT down 40%, CSS cut from 15,000 to 10,000 lines; accessibility audit with WAVE and axe.

A public archive of the contracts for migrant reception in Italy, province by province, rebuilt by joining three ANAC open datasets. It grew out of my years as an educator with unaccompanied foreign minors.
What I did
- Python pipeline over 18,058 contracts from 2015 to 2025, from three ANAC datasets joined on the CIG code.
- CPV-code and text filter to isolate reception services, refined after feedback from a social worker.
- pdfplumber parser for about 90 ministry reports on unaccompanied foreign minors.
- An initial thesis disproved by the data: the jump in direct awards was a recording artifact, and the site shows both series.
- Static Next.js site with 116 pages, LCP from 11 to 1 second; monthly update driven by GitHub Actions.

Editorial website about video games, built from scratch, with a custom CMS the client uses to publish on his own.
What I did
- Built from scratch in Next.js (App Router) and TypeScript, deployed on Vercel.
- Custom CMS: the client writes and publishes articles, uploads images and manages sections without technical skills.
- Separate public site and admin panel.
- Ongoing maintenance on an annual fee after delivery.

Web development, editorial strategy and prompt engineering · with a colleague
A platform that produces and publishes content built for Google and generative search, written by AI agents and reviewed by people. An in-house project, developed with a colleague, still under construction.
What I did
- Website development in Next.js and Tailwind.
- Prompts for the editorial agents and writing rules, with semiotics as a working tool.
- Audit of the content generation pipeline: the right fix was in the code, not in the prompt.
- Search Console analysis and editorial planning.
- Positioning and institutional copy.

Web developer, SEO and editorial lead · freelance
Next.js website of a resin and microcement flooring company near Milan. Technical SEO, structured data, accessibility and blog: Lighthouse from 96 to 100 on accessibility and from 92 to 100 on SEO.
What I did
- Search Console: separated a near-namesake competitor's searches from real traffic; actual CTR around 5% instead of the apparent 3.2%.
- JSON-LD structured data aligned across pages: service area, service catalog, FAQ.
- Related articles picked by a relevance score instead of by date, working for future articles too.
- Accessibility: real buttons instead of divs and links without a target; the pink closest to the original that passes the WCAG contrast threshold.
- Editorial plan, draft review, proposal for client acquisition through paid campaigns.

Developer and editorial coordinator · freelance
A European housing platform for students abroad, with verified hosts in 26 cities. Development on the Next.js codebase and coordination of the blog in three languages: AI-generated articles, fact-checked and corrected by hand.
What I did
- New pages and features on the Next.js codebase; infrastructure maintenance (Vercel, Neon, Resend).
- Every figure checked against the primary source: fixed inverted signs, wrong attributions, a university counted twice, wrong metro lines.
- Cannibalization check of editorial plans against the published archive, before writing.
- Review of the Spanish and English versions, rendering Italian tax and tenancy terms for an international audience.
- City-by-city planning on real Search Console data.

Development and user testing of the platform before launch, on its most delicate flows.
What I did
- 22+ end-to-end test scenarios on critical flows: OTP, invites, IBAN, referral, checkout, account.
- GitHub issues reproducing server-side errors: 502, 409, duplicate invites failing silently.
- Regression testing after every fix.
- Work in a team distributed across Italy, Brazil and the USA, with branches, pull requests and code reviews.

Copy, naming and full-stack development · with the company's CTO
A browser-based AI content production platform. I rewrote the website, defined the product vocabulary and built the project marketplace, from the database schema to the interface.
What I did
- Rewrote the site's nine pages in English, with a voice drawn from the vocabulary of film production.
- Product vocabulary (Canvas, Node, Troupe, Dailies…), dropping names already taken in the industry after checking.
- Marketplace database schema and two migrations on a shared database, each approved before running.
- Publishing, moderation, purchase and delivery: a listing is a copy of the project; credits are held and refunded if delivery fails.
- Removed the old marketplace, which delivered projects with unreadable files.
